SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BreezoMeter, a world-leading provider of air real-time quality data, to deliver highly accurate, personalized and hyper-local air quality information.

Under the MOU, SK Telecom will provide data obtained through Everyair to BreezoMeter, which will then refine the data with its sophisticated machine learning algorithm.

Launched in 2018, SK Telecom's Everyair is an innovative platform that measures overall air quality including levels of indoor/outdoor fine/ultra-fine dust, CO2 and Total Volatile Organic Compounds.

With improved accuracy and precision of air quality data, EveryAir is expected to provide a four-day air quality forecast to users, instead of a two-day forecast it currently provides.

Moreover, the two companies will jointly develop outdoor air quality APIs during the first half of 2020 and will further discuss business plans leveraging this feature.

'With increasing customer interest in air quality, SK Telecom decided to work with BreezoMeter, a global leading provider of real-time air quality data,' said Hong Seung-jin, Vice President and Head of AI Home Unit of SK Telecom. 'We will continue to do our best to provide accurate air quality data that can lead to improved quality of customers' lives.'

'We are very excited to team up with SK Telecom, a leading brand in the Korean market, and look forward to seeing the mutual benefits this partnership brings us in the near future,' said Ran Korber, CEO of BreezoMeter.
