After the Letter of Intent that was signed in August, the DeutschlandCard GmbH and Vectron Systems AG concluded a cooperation agreement today. This agreement provides for close cooperation with the aim of distributing the DeutschlandCard via Vectron POS systems to hospitality customers. The initial focus will be on collecting and redeeming points. With 20 million participants and numerous well-known partners like EDEKA, Netto Marken-Discount and Esso, DeutschlandCard is one of the largest loyalty systems in the market. Vectron Systems is a full size system solution provider of POS systems and cloud services with market-leading position in the catering and bakery sectors. The aim of the planned cooperation is to jointly develop a customer card solution for the catering industry so that the DeutschlandCard can be accepted there as well as in the retail trade in the future. The cooperation entitles catering businesses of all sizes to access an established and successful multi-partner bonus programme for the first time. At the same time, DeutschlandCard program participants will in future also be able to use their cards in hospitality, making the card even more attractive. Both sides are currently preparing the market launch.
