Free's fiber offer is now available to homes in the Sarthe region covered by the Public Initiative Network ("PIN") rolled out by Sarthe Numérique and operated by Sartel THD.

This new availability confirms Free's commitment to the rollout of fiber throughout France and is in line with its aim of having a presence on Public Initiative Networks.

Free's fiber offer is therefore now available to 17,000 homes in 50 municipalities already served by Sartel THD in the region including La Flèche, Clermont-Créans,Etival-lès-le-Mans,

Voivres-lès-le-Mans,Luché-Pringé, and Mansigné, Vion, Changé, Lhomme, Chahaignes, Brains-sur-Gée,Joué-en-Charnie, Oizé.

A second rollout phase is planned by November, which will enable Free Fiber to be marketed to 24,000 additional homes.

Free's fiber offering will subsequently also be available in all of the municipalities where Sarthe Numérique and Sartel THD will be launching rollouts in the near future.

In total, more than 100,000 homes will be eligible for Free Fiber in the region, including the 72,000 homes already covered in the AMII areas (Le Mans and Sablé sur Sarthe).

Free's presence on the Sarthe Numérique network further illustrates its objective of offering fiber services throughout France and being able to propose a fiber offer to French consumers costing from €14.99 per month for 12 months (and then €34.99/month).

In addition, Free is the only operator to offer 10G-EPON fiber technology1 (subject to the subscriber having a compatible offer and Freebox).

As from today, people living in the Sarthe region can check their eligibility and subscribe for Free Fiber at www.free.fr or on 1033 (a freephone number dedicated to Free Fiber) or in the Free Center in Le Mans.

Freebox ADSL subscribers eligible for Free Fiber will be contacted by Free with a proposal to migrate their offer, which will be carried out by a technician in their home. The fiber optic installation will be provided at no cost to subscribers.
