Flughafen Zürich : New winter timetable from 27 October 2019

The switch to winter time on 26-27 October 2019 also marks the start of the new winter timetable at Zurich Airport. The timetable will run up to and including 28 March 2020. In addition, winter opening hours will apply for the observation decks and public tours.

This winter, direct flights will operate from Zurich Airport to 142 destinations in 65 countries. Below is a list of the most important changes to the 2019/2020 winter timetable:

Edelweiss Air
Flights to the destinations served by Edelweiss Air since the summer in Ohrid (North Macedonia) and Tirana (Albania) will be continued during the winter timetable too. There will be a weekly flight to Ohrid and two weekly flights to Tirana.

SWISS
In winter 2019/20 SWISS is increasing the frequency of its services to Dublin and Montreal. SWISS now offers a daily flight to Montreal from Zurich. The home carrier of ZRH will fly nine times a week to the Irish capital, Dublin, during the winter. From February 2020 SWISS will operate a Boeing 777-300 ER to Tokyo, the capital of Japan. A non-stop flight from Zurich to Osaka will be added to the route network on 1 March 2020.

American Airlines
In 2020 American Airlines will land with a Boeing 787-8 in Zurich. From 8 January 2020 the aircraft will also be used on the daily Philadelphia- Zurich route.

Delta Airlines
Starting in December, Delta Airlines will feature new cabin products on the Zurich-New York JFK route. The airline will then introduce the new 'Delta One' business class seat and the premium economy cabin 'Delta Premium Select' onto the Swiss market. The newly equipped Boeing 767-400 will operated daily from 9 December.

Chair
Flights will also be increased at Chair Airlines. During the winter timetable it will operate eleven flights a week to Pristina (Kosovo) and a daily service to Skopje (North Macedonia).

Aegean Airlines
The Greek carrier is increasing its service between Athens (Greece) and Zurich from seven to nine weekly flights.
TAP Air Portugal
The existing route between Porto and Zurich will be served by an Airbus A319 as of this winter. TAP previously operated an Embraer 190 on this route.

Winter opening hours for observation decks and winter tour offering
The move to the winter timetable also means a change to the opening hours of observation decks B and E at Zurich Airport and the tours available. While observation deck B will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 27 October 2019 and 28 March 2020, observation deck E will remain closed to visitors for the winter months. It will remain closed to passengers from 28 October 2019 until 16 December 2019 for renovations. In the winter, bus tours will take place only on Sundays and public holidays, four times a day. The public tour of the airport will take place at 3 p.m. on Sundays.
