YORK, Pa. (AP) _ P.H. Glatfelter Co. (GLT) on Thursday reported a loss of $44.9 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the York, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of $1.01. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 17 cents per share.

The maker of specialty papers and fiber-based engineered materials posted revenue of $231 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $21.5 million, or 49 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $927.7 million.

Glatfelter shares have fallen roughly 4% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 32% in the last 12 months.
