OLTA and Shinsei Bank Jointly Launched a Cloud Factoring Service

We announce that, as of February 10, 2020, OLTA, Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO Yuki Takushi) and Shinsei Bank, Limited (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO Hideyuki Kudo) have started offering cloud factoring service through anew G.K. ("anew"), which was established on January 15, 2020. The two companies have provided one-billion-yen finance.

While commercial transactions often take the form of accounts receivable, SMEs and micro-businesses have few options to secure small amounts of working capital. This is one of the factors that hinders their growth. To solve such financial difficulties, OLTA has provided financing options through its cloud factoring service.

By combining OLTA's AI-based credit screening know-how with Shinsei Bank's funding resources, anew will meet funding needs ranging from several millions of yen to 10 million yen, which are currently underserved. We will seek to expand our business base through alliances with data-platformers. By integrating data both qualitatively and quantitatively, AI-based screening models will be further strengthened for better responses to customers. As the first step, we will start collaborating with "BUGYO CLOUD", which is provided by OBIC BUSINESS CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (OBC; Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director Shigefumi Wada).

OLTA works to promote its cloud factoring service with its mission to transform all kinds of information into data usable for credit analysis to create new value.

Shinsei Bank, in its Medium-Term Strategies, has positioned the pursuit of growth through value co- creation with external partners as one of its core strategies. By utilizing the know-how and data acquired through this business, Shinsei Bank will upgrade its products and services in the field of Small-Scale Finance, which is its one of focus areas, and provide new value to our customers.

The corporate name of the new company, "anew", expresses the intention to "leverage the strengths of OLTA and Shinsei Bank to create financial innovation with unprecedented methods and ideas". Through anew, OLTA and Shinsei Bank will strive to respond to the needs of SMEs and micro-businesses that are not sufficiently supported with conventional financial functions, and to create new financial experiences by utilizing the data and know-how gained from this business.
