DEN HELDER, Netherlands (AP) _ Frank's International NV (FI) on Tuesday reported a loss of $168.1 million in its fourth quarter.

The Den Helder, Netherlands-based company said it had a loss of 75 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs and severance costs, were 6 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 4 cents per share.

The oil and gas pipe provider posted revenue of $139.4 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $140 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $235.3 million, or $1.05 per share. Revenue was reported as $579.9 million.

The company's shares closed at $3.50. A year ago, they were trading at $6.67.
