Working in a safe manner

As a leader in healthcare, we at Almirall have a duty of care towards our employees and to the society in general. Given the rise of cases of COVID-19 and in light of the recent recommendations from the Spanish Ministry of Health, at Almirall we are taking a number of proactive measures in the best interest of our employees and to reduce the risk of potential contamination.

First, and following recent recommendations from Spanish authorities and the closure of all schools and universities in Madrid, Catalonia and other regions in Spain, we are activating a working from home protocol, for all those who are able to do so -effective immediately, and until further notice. In other affiliates, other measures will be taken following local governmental recommendations.

In addition, and with global scope, we will be cancelling or postponing all business travel that is considered non-essential or not business critical.

Almirall congresses and events

On February 27, it was decided to postpone the 13th edition of Almirall Skin Academy congress due to the current coronavirus outbreak in Europe. Other congresses and events organized by Almirall have been also subsequently postponed until further notice.

Whilst a huge amount of work and commitment has been dedicated to those events, the international faculty of medical experts and its delegates, we prefer to uphold our values and commitment to remain as responsible partners to the medical community and the patients we all serve.
