Dear Colleagues,

On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 a pandemic and governments worldwide have taken wide-ranging measures to contain the spread of the virus.

We as PPA S.A. responded well in advance to this crisis, having as top priority to safeguard the health and welfare of all employees in the port. We constantly follow the advice of the national and international authorities in terms of health & safety and work actively to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. We also support our customers in practical ways, and keep them informed of the latest developments.

Some of the measures implemented from the very beginning of the pandemic are the following:

  1. Suspension of all business trips and business delegations visits to and from abroad.
  2. Business meetings are performed with teleconferences.
  3. Supply of sanitary equipment (antiseptic liquids, medical masks, protective suits) and application of a hand sanitizer protocol. The employees of the company wear masks throughout their daily job if judged necessary.
  4. Weekly disinfection of all our offices and common areas of all the company's buildings, as well as daily disinfection of common surfaces
(switches, knobs, work surfaces) during the day.
  5. Antiseptic bases were installed at key points of the company, in order to be accessible to all staff for continuous use.
  6. Company's information and data exchange only electronically.
  7. Remote work with shifts of the staff, having full and safe access to the company's data.
  8. Continuous information from the competent Health Authorities and close cooperation with the company's doctor.
  9. Employees are constantly briefed by the Human Resources Department and the Security & Safety dept. on updated precautionary measures and clear instructions on preventive measures.
  10. All parcels received by courier are picked up from the gate and are delivered to the receivers after disinfecting them.

At the same time the port of Piraeus as a critical infrastructure in the transport sector has a crucial role to play in the supply chain, in particular medicines, medical devices, food and other essential commodities. So it has to remain operational in order to meet with this great social responsibility and to ensure that the flow of goods will continue uninterruptedly.

Despite the fact that our business has been affected seriously by the pandemic, we as PPA S.A. will continue the provision of our services for the greater good, while keeping as a primary consideration the best interest (health and wealth) for all our employees, families and of course, the environment in which we operate. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my respect and support to all our stuff enabling the business

continuity of port services, thus playing a major role in order to overcome this crisis solidly.

Best wishes for a Happy Easter to you and your families!

Sincerely,

YU Zenggang

Chairman

BoD of PPA S.A.
