Vicinity Centres (ASX: VCX) - Trading Halt

Description

The securities of Vicinity Centres ('VCX') will be placed in trading halt at the request of VCX, pending it releasing an announcement. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 3 June 2020 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Request for Trading Halt - Vicinity Centres

Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Vicinity Centres (Vicinity), comprised of Vicinity Limited (ACN 114 757 783) and Vicinity Centres RE Limited (ACN 149 781 322) as responsible entity of the Vicinity Centres Trust (ARSN 104 931 928), requests the implementation of a trading halt in its stapled securities (ASX Code: VCX) to apply from the commencement of trading today, 1 June 2020.

Vicinity provides the following information for the purposes of ASX Listing Rule 17.1.

  1. The trading halt is requested as Vicinity expects to make an announcement to ASX in connection with a capital raising comprising a fully underwritten institutional placement of fully paid stapled securities in Vicinity (the Placement), together with a non‐underwritten security purchase plan of fully paid stapled securities in Vicinity.
  2. Vicinity requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of:
    1. Vicinity making an announcement to the market regarding the completion of the Placement; or
    2. the commencement of trading on 3 June 2020.
  3. Vicinity is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted or of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
