June 30, 2020, Moscow - Sberbank and Rosvodokanal have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to implement several national public-private partnership projects on the water supply and sanitation to modernize infrastructure on a large scale, improve quality of drinking water, reduce accidents across water-supply networks, as well as develop Russian innovative solutions and implement the world's best practices to improve the environmental landscape throughout Russia.

By combining the best corporate competencies, the partners plan to design requirements and mechanisms for conducting legal, technical, and financial expertise when working on industry projects, standard solutions for their financing and improve banking support procedures.

The parties have already started working together - Sberbank opened financing for RUB 2 bln to modernize urban systems and build new water supply and sanitation facilities in Arkhangelsk where water supplies have been managed by Rosvodokanal since 2018. In June, RVC-Arkhangelsk LLC received the first tranche worth RUB 1 bln.

The signed agreement has a strategic purpose, which includes the designing of joint initiatives, including legislative ones, to develop the PPP market.'
