ANNOUNCEMENT

APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISER

Reference is made to the announcement of Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") dated 28 August 2020 in relation to the revision of annual caps of continuing connected transactions (the "Announcement"). Unless otherwise indicated in this announcement, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcement.

The Company has appointed Trinity Corporate Finance Limited as the independent financial adviser (the "Independent Financial Adviser") to advise the independent board committee and the independent Shareholders in connection with the revised annual caps of the Procurement of Production and Infrastructure Materials and Relevant Auxiliary Services under the Comprehensive Product and Service Framework Agreement.

The letter of advice from the Independent Financial Adviser in respect of the revised annual caps of the Procurement of Production and Infrastructure Materials and Relevant Auxiliary Services under the Comprehensive Product and Service Framework Agreement will be set out in the circular of the Company and despatched to the Shareholders in due course.
