UniCredit today announces that Mirko Bianchi, currently Group co-CFO, has been appointed CEO of Group Wealth Management & Private Banking with the task of continuing the successful development in the Group's primary markets.

Reporting directly to the Group's co-CEOs for Commercial Banking Western Europe, Francesco Giordano and Olivier Khayat, Mirko Bianchi will be supported by Stefano Vecchi, who in addition to his current role as Head of Wealth Management Italy and CEO of Cordusio SIM, has been appointed Deputy CEO of Group Wealth Management & Private Banking. Marco Bizzozero, current CEO of Group Wealth Management & Private Banking and EMC member has decided to leave the Group to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity with a US Fintech.

The appointments are effective from October 1st.

Mirko will continue to serve on the Group Executive Management Committee (EMC), while Co-CFO Stefano Porro assumes sole responsibility for the CFO function reporting to Wouter Devriendt, Head of Group Finance & Controls.
