Leveraged-buyout firm Apollo Global Management has made an $11 billion offer to buy Paramount Global's film and television studio, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the situation.
Apollo's bid could be a spoiler in the Hollywood giant's negotiations with Larry Ellison-backed studio Skydance Media, which has sought to merge with all of Paramount -- owner of CBS, Nickelodeon and a number of other cable networks.
Mixed martial-arts giant TKO Group Holdings struck a deal to pay $335 million to settle a pair of class-action lawsuits filed by former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters over pay.
