MOSCOW, May 13 (Reuters) - Russia does not need to reduce fuel quality requirements as the situation on the domestic market remains stable, acting Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Monday.

Russia's primary oil refining capacity has been hit by a series of factors including maintenance work, technical outages and Ukrainian drone attacks.

Industry sources have previously told Reuters that the Russian government was considering introducing some easing of rigorous fuel environmental standards in order to allow the usage of low-quality gasoline in the face of possible fuel shortages.
