BEIJING/SHANGHAI, May 10 (Reuters) - China's finance ministry will hold a meeting on Monday to discuss issuance of special ultra-long term treasury bonds with key market players, three sources with knowledge of the matter said on Friday.

The Ministry of Finance did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for a comment.

Beijing plans to issue 1 trillion yuan ($138 billion) in special ultra-long term treasury bonds this year to support some key sectors of the economy.

Market participants have been closely monitoring developments of the special ultra-long term treasury bonds.

China's central bank told Reuters earlier this week that it could either buy or sell treasury bonds in the secondary market depending on market conditions, as such trades can be used to manage liquidity.
