126218, located at: Schellingstr. 35, 80799 Munich) releases preliminary Group figures for 2011:
Despite comprehensive restructuring measures the Advanced Inflight Alliance Group completed the financial year 2011 successful. The full year consolidated group revenues increased by 9 percent from EUR 111.1 million in 2010 to EUR 121.6 million in 2011. The acquisitions executed mid 2011 both did contribute to the increase in Group revenues.
As announced, the Advanced Inflight Alliance Group has completed the group wide restructuring measures on December 31, 2011. In addition to a substantial reduction of staff the corporate group structure was also simplyfied. The Advanced Inflight Alliance Group incurred EUR 4.2 million in aggregated one-time charges in 2011 in connection with the extensive restructuring measures. All restructuring expenses will constitute one-time charges in 2011; in 2012, they will lead to cost savings in the mid single digit millions. The figures for 2011 also contain EUR 0.3 million one-time charges in the form of transaction costs for the June 2011 acquisitions.
Due to the one-time charges the Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) decreased from EUR 12.4 million in 2010 to EUR 10.5 million in
2011. Adjusted for the total one-time charges, the EBITDA increased from EUR 13.2 million by more than 13 percent to EUR 15 million in 2011. The EBITDA for 2011
contains foreign currency gains of EUR 594 thousand, compared to foreign currency gains of EUR 9 thousand in 2010. As a result, the EBITDA adjusted for both the one-
time charges and the foreign currency effects was EUR 14.4 million in 2011 in the
aggregate, compared to EUR 13.2 million in the same period of the previous year.
Due to the one-time charges earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) fell from EUR
8.4 million in 2010 to EUR 6.5 million in 2011. The EBIT adjusted for both the one- time charges and the foreign currency effects rose from EUR 9.2 million in 2010 by 13 percent to EUR 10.4 million in 2011.
Given the one-time charges, the Advanced Inflight Alliance Group has posted earnings before taxes (EBT) of EUR 5.9 million, down from EUR 7.6 million in the previous year. Adjusted for both the one-time charges and the foreign currency effects, EBT for the
2011 was EUR 9.7 million. This corresponds to an increase of 16 percent over the EBT
of EUR 8.4 million in the same period of the previous year.

Additional information:

The preparation of the 2011 annual financial statements has entailed a change in accounting principles used to account for film distribution rights acquired; this change in accounting principles has a direct impact on several income statement items in the
2010 and 2011 financial years as well as in the quarterly reports 2011. While this change in accounting principles generally lowers the amortization shown, it in contrary
increases the cost of materials, which results in a comparatively reduction of the
shown EBITDA. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), earnings before taxes (EBT) and the net profit however are not affected. Below please find the respective effects on the EBITDA:
