Notice Concerning Termination of Production Activities at

AGC Techno Glass (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Tokyo, May 7, 2024 - AGC (Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Yoshinori Hirai), a world-leading manufacturer of glass, chemicals, and high-tech materials, has announced that it has decided to terminate production activities by the end of 2024 at AGC Techno Glass (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (ATGT; Headquarters: Chon Buri Province, Thailand), a Group company engaged in the consumer glass business.

Since its establishment in 1995, ATGT has been primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of heat-resistant glass tableware and glass for physics and chemical experiments. In recent years, the market environment for this business has become increasingly challenging. Despite diligent efforts to improve operations, ATGT has been unable to improve its performance owing to rising manufacturing costs and other factors. Therefore, it is decided to terminate its production activities.

It will be ensured that there is no impact on the supply chain by consulting with its customers and plans to proceed with the necessary procedures for corporate liquidation in accordance with local laws. The impact of this matter on the Company's consolidated financial results is expected to be negligible.

In its medium-term management plan AGCplus-2026,the AGC Group aims to build a business portfolio that is resilient to market fluctuations and with high asset efficiency, growth potential, and carbon efficiency. AGC will continue to allocate its management resources to intensive investment in strategic and growth businesses.
