Alior Bank will pay out a dividend of PLN570mn (€122mn) from the profit generated in 2023, the Warsaw-listed lender said on February 28.

The payout is in line with recommendations of the Polish financial market watchdog Polish KNF regarding dividend payments for 2023. It will also be Alior Bank’s first payout since its debut on the Wars Stock Exchange in 2012.

"The generated profits and the high level of capital surplus provide the basis for the first-ever dividend payout by Alior Bank,” the bank said.

Alior Bank had a consolidated net profit of PLN2.03bn (€434 million) attributable to shareholders of the parent company, compared to PLN683.1mn a year earlier.

“The exact amount of the recommended dividend for 2023 will be indicated after obtaining a positive assessment by the bank's supervisory board of the [dividend] motion by the bank's management board,” Alior Bank said.

Alior Bank focuses on retail and corporate banking services while its subsidiaries operate in leasing, IT, factoring and asset management.

Alior Bank's total assets amounted to PLN90.13bn at the end of 2023.

The bank’s stock price rose 2.19% to PLN89.6 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on February 28. This year to date, its stocks have grown 17.37%.
