Alpiq Holding AG reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter of 2013. For the quarter, the company recorded consolidated net revenue of CHF 2.4 billion and EBITDA of CHF 229 million. EBIT amounted to CHF 163 million against CHF 105 million. Group profit was CHF 65 million against CHF 45 million a year ago. EBIT w as positively impacted by the impairment charges recognised at the end of 2012. As a result of the disposals and closures already carried out under the restructuring programme, consolidated net revenue declined by 28.8% to CHF 2.4 billion. Net debt as at 31 March 2013 amounted to around CHF 3.5 billion.

The company expects to end the full year of 2013 with lower results than the operating results for 2012. This is due on the one hand to the sale or imminent disposal of activities as part of the divestment programme, and on the other hand to price adjustments and various regulatory developments.
