Alstom has climbed more than 3%, putting it in the top tier of the CAC40, as markets reacted favorably to the announcement, on Friday evening, of the appointment of Bernard Delpit as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective June 30.

Bernard Delpit has held senior positions in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace and banking. Most recently, he was Deputy Managing Director of the Belgian investment company Groupe Bruxelles Lambert.

'We think the profile makes a lot of sense for Alstom', judges Oddo BHF, highlighting his highly experienced profile, his experience of industry and major contracts, and seeing an asset in his passage through the banking world.

Elsewhere, the transport equipment manufacturer has also announced the appointment of Helen Bradley as its new Human Resources Director. She will join Alstom after having held the same position at Bureau Veritas since 2018.
