August 2020 Operating Results

The Company released data today on results for August 2020. For details on total logistics amounts of the B-to-C business, non-consolidated net sales, and year-on-year growth in sales per customer and the number of customers of the B-to-B business, see the Supplementary Information.

Net sales

The total logistics amounts of the B-to-C business for August this year (from July 21, 2020 to August 20, 2020) increased 2.1% on a year-on-year basis.

Non-consolidated net sales for August grew 6.8% year-on-year. Those of the mainstay B-to-B business grew 7.7%, which is expected to be adjusted to 12.9% with one fewer weekday in business days compared with a year earlier. Non-consolidated net sales of LOHACO, which is affected by the decrease in sales for overseas demand etc., grew 2.0%.

The novel coronavirus infection has led to a rise in telework and stagnation of business activities since April, which has resulted in a temporary decline in demand primarily in the B-to-B business. However, the demand is on a steady recovery trend. The Company will continue to respond flexibly to changes in the social environment and minimize their impact on its business performance.
