Burkhalter Group provided earnings guidance for the first half ended June 30, 2014 and year 2014. For the period, the company's earnings per share can be increased by around 34% on the previous year and are expected to amount to CHF 2.31 against previous year restated of CHF 1.72). The operating result (EBIT) will improve by approximately 36% to around CHF 16.8 million against previous year restated of CHF 12.4 million, while the Group profit will increase by 40% to around CHF 13.6 million against previous year restated of CHF 9.7 million and sales will rise by 4% to some CHF 247 million against previous year restated of CHF 236.6 million.
As things stand now, the outlook for the overall financial year 2014 is also very good. As the second half of 2013 was already extremely successful, the rate of increase in the earnings per share for the whole of 2014 is likely to be smaller than for the first half of 2014, but is still expected to run into double digits.
