SAO PAULO, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Brazilian power company Eletrobras does not expect its capital allocation and dividend policy to change in the short term, Chief Executive Wilson Ferreira Jr said on Thursday, though further details are yet to be discussed with board members of the recently privatized firm.

Ferreira also said Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA, as the company is formally known, is currently working on its migration to "Novo Mercado," a segment of the Brazilian stock exchange with stricter governance rules. The move is expected to be concluded within eight to 10 months. (Reporting by Leticia Fucuchima; Editing by Leslie Adler)
