China Minsheng Financial Holding Corporation Limited provided unaudited consolidated earnings guidance for the year ended 31 December 2019. The company announced to shareholders of the Company and potential investors that, based on the preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and the information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to record consolidated loss attributable to the owners of the Company of not less than HKD 400 million for the year ended 31 December 2019 (subject to potential adjustments and finalisation) as compared to a net profit of approximately HKD 143 million for the year ended 31 December 2018. Shareholders and potential investors of the Company should note that the loss is expected to be higher than those reported for the six months ended 30 June 2019 as disclosed in the Company's 2019 interim report. The Directors believe that the increase in loss was mainly attributable to (i) unrealised loss arising from the decrease in the fair value of the Group's financial assets through profit or loss for the year ended 31 December 2019; (ii) additional provision for impairment of financial assets; and (iii) increase in share of loss of associates.
