Civmec Limited provided earnings guidance for the financial year 2019. For the year, the company reported that barring unforeseen circumstances, the group expects to be profitable in the current financial year.

The company provided further development of the Group's facilities in Henderson on the west coast and Newcastle on the east coast has continued. In Western Australia, construction of the new 70 metre high mega shipbuilding facility is well underway and on schedule for completion in late 2019. This facility will greatly enhance production and assembly output and will be available for future undercover ship maintenance requirements. Civmec will undertake fabrication and construction of 10 of the 12 vessels being commissioned under the Royal Australian Navy's SEA 1180 Offshore Patrol Vessel program in this new world-class facility. The preparation and profile cutting of steel plates for the first two vessels currently being built in South Australia is ongoing at Henderson and a high-quality product is being delivered ahead of schedule.
