On a per-share basis, the Newport Beach, California-based company said it had a loss of 8 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 1 cent per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.

The provider of natural gas as an alternative fuel for vehicle fleets posted revenue of $103.7 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $106.6 million.
