Martin Schaufelberger appointed new CEO of COLTENE The Board of Directors has appointed Martin Schaufelberger as the new CEO of COLTENE (SIX Swiss Exchange: CLTN). He will assume the global leader- ship of the Group in early summer 2012. Erwin Locher, who is currently lead- ing the company on an ad interim basis, will continue to accompany the rea- lignment of COLTENE in the function of Delegate of the Board.

Altstätten, January 16, 2012; Martin Schaufelberger (1964) commands a long and very successful experience in leading mid-sized, companies operating worldwide. He assumed the position of CEO of Kunststoff Schwanden AG in 2007 after joining the company in 1998 as head of Marketing and Sales. Under his leadership the busi- ness acquired numerous new customers and the turnover was tripled during his pe- riod with the company. He was responsible for the Japanese subsidiary of Zellweger Uster AG in the mid nineties, after which he managed the sales and strategic mar- keting of the business unit Yarn Clearing until1998.

Nick Huber, President of the Board of COLTENE Holding AG, is convinced that Mar- tin Schaufelberger's structured and focused management style will enable him to implement enduring improvements to the operative processes, technological basis and market position of the company. Martin Schaufelberger complemented his education as an electronic engineer with an MBA in Marketing in 1993. He is married and has 2 children.
