Outfield video display installed ahead of 2024 season at Cacciatore Stadium

BROOKINGS, S.D. - - Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, in conjunction with Sievert Electric, has partnered with DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, for a new outfield LED video display at Cacciatore Stadium ahead of 2024 softball season. The design, manufacture and installation of the display took place this spring and it is currently operational and ready to entertain Blue Demon softball fans.

"We're committed to continuing to enhance the championship experience for our student-athletes, coaches and fans alike by completing state-of-the-art enhancements like this video board replacement project," said Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy. "Materials and parts for our previous scoreboard and video board were becoming difficult and expensive to obtain. This improvement allows us to significantly modernize the fan experience, increase our visibility and enhance self-generated revenues via new advertising inventory."

Outfield Video Display Details

The new outfield video display measures approximately 8.5 feet high by 37 feet wide and features 10-millimeter pixel spacing to bring excellent image clarity and contrast to every piece of data and digital content shown on the screen. It features industry-leading environmental protection ensuring it operates as expected in the Chicago outdoors.

"This new display is sure to revitalize the game-day experience and bring new light to live events," said Ryan Kuzman, Daktronics sales representative. "We're proud to continue our partnership with DePaul University and Sievert Electric to refresh the technology on this great campus."

The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show all the information and graphics that fans expect at live sporting events. This means it can show one large image or be divided into multiple zones to share a variety of content including live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, game information, graphics, animations and sponsorship messages.

"Sievert Electric was thrilled to have this opportunity to work once again with the team over at DePaul University, as well as Daktronics, in designing and installing this new video board at Cacciatore Stadium," said Brian Nied of the video display and scoreboards division of Sievert Electric. "It's a great addition to an already beautiful field and we hope the Blue Demon fans, athletes and staff enjoy it for many years to come!"

Included with the equipment installation, DePaul University will also receive a digital content package to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services, an in-house, award-winning creative team.
