BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - Ice field hockey fans will be able to follow the World Championships on MagentaSport and MagentaTV until 2028. Deutsche Telekom acquired sub-licenses for the World Championship games from DOSB New Media GmbH. At this year's World Cup from May 10 to 26, up to 21 matches will be broadcast live, including all games involving the German national team as well as two quarter-finals, the semi-finals, the match for third place and the final.

The extensive cooperation in the field of ice hockey also includes games from the national leagues DEL and DEL2, matches from the Champions Hockey League as well as the German national teams and the World Championships for men, women and juniors.

Sportdeutschland.TV is also significantly expanding its ice hockey offering as part of the cooperation. Among other things, a total of 364 DEL main round games and up to 55 play-off games will be available as pay-per-view on the online sports channel from the coming season.
