Wikia, Inc. announced that it will receive $15,000,001 in a round of funding on June 30, 2014. The company will issue common shares to the investors. The securities will be issued pursuant to exemption provided under Regulation D.
On August 27, 2014, Wikia, Inc. closed the transaction. The company received $15,000,000 in its series D round of funding led by new investor Digital Garage (TSE:4819). The transaction included participation from new investor Asuka Investments, Tose Co.,Ltd.(TSE:4728), Suneight Investment Co., Ltd., and Nobuyuki Idei and existing investors Amazon.com Inc., Investment Arm, Bessemer Venture Partners, and institutional Venture Partners. The company received $14,999,989 from ten investors pursuant to exemption provided under Regulation D. The company has received $39.8 million in funding till date.
