Eramet Shanghai signs framework agreement with BaoWu

The agreement signed with Baosteel Resources makes Eramet and its subsidiary Comilog one of the main suppliers to the world's No. 1 steel company, BaoWu.

By means of this November 17 signing of a framework agreement for the sale of manganese ore in 2021 to Baosteel Resources - the trading arm of the world's No. 1 steel producer BaoWu - the Chinese company, which is already an Eramet customer, wished to formalize this collaboration in light of Comilog's excellent operational performance during the pandemic.

The agreement was signed in the Chinese group's offices in the presence of Zhu Xuebin, its Senior Vice-President (on the left of the picture above), and Arnaud Vigier, Director of the Eramet Shanghai sales office (on the right of the picture above), and joining them remotely from Paris were Kleber Silva, CEO in charge of the Mining and Metals Division (DMM), Paul Desportes, Commercial Director of DMM and German Molina, Director of Sales in the Manganese Ore BU.

This is the 5th signing ceremony that has taken place in the past few days, bringing the contractual commitment of the five largest Chinese customers to around 1.5 MT in 2021.

This agreement is a recognition of Comilog's new status as a recognized market leader.
