(Alliance News) - Piazza Affari is expected to fall slightly ahead of Tuesday's start of trading, in another day that is not expected to be packed with macro appointments but has several quarterly reports coming in.

The FTSE Mib is given down 15 points -- less than 0.1 percent -- after closing up 0.5 percent at 34,815.91 Monday evening.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 is expected to be essentially flat as are Paris' CAC 40 and Frankfurt's DAX 40.

Among the smaller listings on the Italian Stock Exchange, the Mid-Cap rose 0.1 percent to 47,832.63, the Small-Cap gained 0.5 percent to 29,467.87 while Italy Growth closed 0.3 percent in the red at 8,231.60.

On the Mib, DiaSorin closed up 2.9 percent after the release of its accounts. The company said Friday that it reported first-quarter net income of EUR46.0 million, up from EUR42.0 million in the same period of 2023, and adjusted net income of EUR59 million in line with the March 31, 2023 figure.

Revenues rose to EUR289 million, stable from EUR290 million in the first quarter a year earlier.

Only Stellantis did better, advancing 3.7 percent. Telecom Italia rounds out the podium and rises 2.7 percent.

Tenaris--up 0.4%--reported that it has initiated a USD300 million tranche of its USD1.2 billion share buyback program.

Enel closed down, down 0.1 percent. The company said it closed the first quarter of the year with group net income of EUR1.93 billion from EUR1.03 billion and up 87 percent from March 31, 2023.

Revenues in the period stood at EUR19.43 billion from EUR26.41 billion in Q1 2023, marking a 26 percent decline.

On the mid-cap, Rai Way gave up 0.2 percent. The company reported Friday that it closed the first quarter with a net profit of EUR23.8 million from EUR23.5 million in the first quarter a year earlier.

Fincantieri closed 1.0% in the red after reporting Friday that Vard, the group's Norwegian subsidiary, signed a contract for the design and construction of two commissioning service operaion vessels with an international client in Taiwan.

Lottomatica Group -- down 0.6 percent -- on Monday announced plans to issue and place bonds for a total aggregate amount of EUR900 million according to the following combination: fixed-rate senior secured bonds maturing in 2030 denominated and floating-rate senior secured bonds maturing in 2031.

Among small caps, Valsoia gained 0.2 percent. On Monday, it reported first-quarter sales revenue stood at EUR24.7 million from EUR24.6 million as of March 31, 2023, up 0.7 percent.

RCS MediaGroup rose 0.2 percent. It reported Monday that it closed the first quarter with a loss of EUR1.8 million from EUR1.6 million as of March 31, 2023.

Revenues for the period stood at EUR168.9 million from EUR179.1 million in Q1 2023.

Immsi gave up 5.1 percent. It reported Monday that it ended the first quarter with net income before minorities of EUR8.4 million from EUR15.6 million as of March 31, 2023.

Consolidated revenues in the period were EUR434.9 million from EUR553.5 million last year.

Aeffe closed at a breakeven. The company approved its management report as of March 31, closing the period with a net loss of EUR5.6 million compared to a loss of EUR300,000 in 2023 in the same period.

Banca Profilo dropped 1.0 percent after it approved its interim report as of March 31, 2024, closing with a net profit of EUR2.8 million, down 55 percent from the first three months of last year.

Total customer deposits, including net fiduciary deposits, stood at EUR6.1 billion, up from EUR5.8 billion as of March 31, 2023.

Banca Sistema -- up 1.5 percent -- reported Friday that it reported a profit of EUR4.4 million in the first quarter of the year from EUR3.8 million as of March 31, 2023. Net income was EUR4.1 million from EUR3.7 million.

Dexelance, formerly Italian Design Brands, rose 0.9 percent after reporting Monday that it ended the first quarter of the year with a profit of EUR300,000 versus EUR1.4 million in the same period of 2023.

Adjusted net income rose to EUR3.3 million from EUR5.4 million as of March 31, 2023.

Among SMEs, Innovatec gave up 0.7 percent after announcing Monday that Pietro Colucci has resigned as CEO and board member. The decision, Colucci explained in a statement, "is in no way related to the progress of the Genovese investigation, for which I have not received any notice or charges to date," but is instead linked to "the wide prominence that has been given to my position in the national press."

LU-VE - up 0.7 percent - reported Monday that it made a profit of EUR11.0 million in the first quarter of the year, up from EUR6.8 million in the first three months of 2023.

Revenues amounted to EUR141.9 million, down 6.3 percent, compared to the first quarter of 2023 when they were EUR151.4 million.

CY4Gate - up 5.3 percent - reported Monday that it had signed a contract worth a total of about EUR1 million for cybersecurity solutions.

Eles gave up 7.7 percent after reporting that it ended 2023 with revenues of EUR32.8 million compared to EUR26.1 million in the previous year

In New York, the Dow closed Monday down 0.2 percent to 39,431.51, the Nasdaq rose 0.3 percent to 16,388.24 and the S&P 500 finished just below par at 5,221.42.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.0787 from USD1.0793 on Monday in European equities closing while the pound was worth USD1.2560 from USD1.2556 on Monday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude is trading at USD83.44 per barrel from USD83.25 per barrel on Monday. Gold, on the other hand, trades at USD2,344.61 an ounce from USD2,334.56 an ounce last night.

On Tuesday's macroeconomic calendar, at 0900 CEST UK labor productivity is due and at 0900 CEST Spanish inflation and at 1100 CEST the ZEW index of German and Eurozone economic conditions.

In the afternoon, at 1430 CEST, will come from the US the producer price index and at 1430 CEST it will be the turn of Canadian wholesale sales.

At 1600 CEST, a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is expected.

In Piazza Affari, the quarterly results of several listed companies including Fincantieri, Hera and Saras are expected.
