FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF BOTSWANA LIMITED First National Bank of Botswana is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Steven Lefentse Bogatsu to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Bank effective 1st May 2015.
Steven brings with him a wealth of banking experience gained from his leadership positions both locally and abroad. He joins FNB Botswana from FNB Swaziland where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure as FNB Swaziland CEO, the Bank affirmed it?s position as number one in terms of profit, won several awards including the London based Banker's Bank of the Year award 2014.
Steven returns to FNB Botswana, a Bank he has worked for in a number of senior leadership roles prior joining FNB Swaziland. At FNB Botswana, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Director of Product Houses, responsible for Property Finance, WesBank, Credit Card, International Trade and Custody.
Steven's role will be to provide strategic direction and leadership focus for the Bank. He will be fully accountable to the Board and Shareholders on the performance of the business.

Prior to joining the FNB Group, Steven trained at Ernst & Young, worked at Kgalagadi Breweries as Group Internal Auditor, Management Accountant and Project Accountant, Barclays Africa Finance as a Financial & Business Analyst and Stanbic Bank Botswana as Chief Financial Officer.
Alongside his Banking career, Steven held directorship position in several boards including the Local Enterprise Authority, Botswana Medical Aid and Med Rescue International.
He is currently a member of Rotary Mbabane & Mbuluzi Club and Swaziland Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS.
Steven is a qualified Certified Chartered Accountant, and holds a Masters of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby.
Steven is married to Neo, and they have been blessed with 3 children.
