Flowers Foods, Inc. Names Mark Chaffin as Chief Information Officer

Flowers Foods, Inc. announced that Mark Chaffin has been named chief information officer, effective immediately. Chaffin, who has served as Flowers' interim CIO since September 2019, is responsible for Flowers' information technology strategy and operations, reporting to R. Steve Kinsey, Flowers Foods' chief financial officer and chief administrative officer. Before joining Flowers, Chaffin was a partner in Fortium Partners' Southeast practice, focusing on IT strategy, business process improvement, technology commercialization and analytics. He previously served as CIO at sgsco and was CIO of Acosta Sales and Marketing in Jacksonville, Fla.
Flowers Foods, Inc. is a producer and marketer of packaged bakery foods in the United States. The Company's products include breads, buns, rolls, snack items, bagels, English muffins, and tortillas and are sold under a variety of brand names, including Nature's Own, Dave's Killer Bread (DKB), Wonder, Canyon Bakehouse, Tastykake, and Mrs. Freshley's. Its fresh baked foods customers include mass merchandisers, supermarkets and other retailers, restaurants, quick-serve chains, food wholesalers, institutions, dollar stores and vending companies.
