Focus Entertainment announced on Tuesday the creation of an audiovisual platform called 'Scripteam', with the aim of developing films and series based on its video game universe.

The Paris-based group announced last night that it had acquired stakes in two experienced audiovisual production studios, Make it Happen Studio (65%) and Marvelous Productions (66.7%).

Focus explains that its aim is to be able to adapt intellectual property developed and owned in-house into series or feature films, or conversely to design video games based on series and films produced by Scripteam.

Scripteam is also set to become a real platform, providing new services for the development studios co-owned by Focus.

At the same time, Marvelous Productions and Make It Happen Studio will continue to produce stand-alone projects.

The consolidation of the two entities, which will take place on December 15, will contribute 1.5 million euros of Ebita by the end of March, due to a high level of activity with the release of three films.

The delivery of works, on the other hand, promises to be less dense in the 2024/2025 financial year.

Focus will own 88.8% of Scripteam, the remaining 11.2% being held by Marvelous and Make it Happen Studio executives, as well as by Jérôme Pédron, Scripteam's manager.

These plans were greeted with little enthusiasm on the Paris Bourse, where Focus Entertainment shares were down 0.9% in early trading on Tuesday.
