Globalworth Poland Real Estate N : office successes in Katowice

The capital of Upper Silesia remains an attractive office market for Globalworth Poland. This is illustrated by the latest lease agreements and the recent acquisition of two Silesia Star buildings. The IBM IT group has decided to renew its lease agreement for 9,000 sq m in A4 Business Park. In addition, a contract for nearly 2,000 sq m signed by JAMF - a company from the IT industry - means that office space of Supersam in Katowice is now fully leased.

Katowice is gaining importance in the Polish office market. According to data from JLL, it is a growing regional centre with the business services sector the driving force, with almost a 74% share in terms of gross take-up volumes in Q1 2019.

A4 Business Park is a complex of three office buildings with a GLA of 30,600 sq m, located in Katowice. The classic and modest design means that A4 Business Park has become a fixture on the Katowice landscape and one of the city's landmarks. The complex consists of two ten-storey buildings and one seven-storey building. The complex offers class A office space and has a BREEAM Interim certificate at the Very Good level.

Supersam is a modern multi-functional building located in the very centre of Katowice. On three floors, guests can do shopping or use the services of 70 stores and outlets, including an extensive gastronomic area. On the upper floors there are 5,000 sq m of office space leased by companies such as Groupon, CitySpace and JAMF.

Silesia Star office complex, which consists of two interconnected buildings, was commissioned for use in 2014 and 2016 respectively. The property is located near the centre of Katowice, and in close proximity to two universities and public transport routes. It offers 29,200 sq m of modern office space, 95% of which is occupied by tenants from the financial, technological and service sectors. Silesia Star was acquired by Globalworth in July 2019.
