Honda Motor Co. said Thursday it will start selling from Friday the revamped Legend sedan equipped with the "level-3" autonomous technology.

It is the world's first vehicle sold in the market which allows the driver to engage in different tasks such as reading and watching TV behind the wheel in certain conditions such as when the car is in congested traffic on expressways, the Japanese transport ministry said.

Honda plans to sell 100 units on lease with a package of maintenance services with a suggested retail price of 11 million yen ($103,000).
