Announcement on Progress of Project

The board of directors of the Company and all its members hereby warrant that there are no false representations, misleading statements or material omission in this announcement, and they individually and collectively accept full responsibility for the truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of the contents contained herein.

Two 501.6 MW gas-fired combined heat and power generating units (1,003.2MW in total) invested and constructed by Qingyuan Branch of Huadian Power International Corporation Limited* (the "Company") have recently completed 168-hour trial operation at full-load capacity under national requirements.

During the trial operation, these two generating units operated safely and stably, reaching 100% of utilization rate in automation system, protection system and main instruments, and had a good performance in serval key indicators, including quality of steam and water, vacuum level and air system of gas turbine. Environmental facilities such as waste water treatment and waste gas treatment operated simultaneously and the emissions of nitrogen oxide and dust particulates are lower than the requirement of environmental emissions standards.

The completion of these two generating units will enhance the proportion of clean energy installed capacity of the Company, which is beneficial to the optimization of the structure of installed capacity and deployment of assets of the Company.
