COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Installed Building Products Inc. (IBP) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $27.8 million.

The Columbus, Ohio-based company said it had net income of 94 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.23 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.18 per share.

The residential insulation installer posted revenue of $441.5 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $442.5 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $97.2 million, or $3.27 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.65 billion.

Installed Building Products shares have risen 21% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 59% in the last 12 months.
