J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, which opened its first St. Louis retail branch this week, plans to add 25 more branches in the metro area within the next three years, creating at least 200 jobs. The first branch is at 101 N. Kirkwood Road in Kirkwood, and a second branch, in The Promenade at Brentwood, is scheduled to open Dec. 3, 2019. The locations of the other branches to be built have not been determined or are not being announced at this time. The Business Journal reported Nov. 1, 2019 that St. Louis-based architecture firm Core States Group has filed a building permit valued at $1.3 million for a new Chase branch at 16985 Chesterfield Airport Road in Chesterfield. The expansion is part of a plan the bank announced last year to open 400 new branches and hire as many as 3,000 people in new markets during the next five years. Chase previously announced plans to open as many as 20 branches in Kansas City.
