JERSEY CITY, N.J., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Knight Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NITE) today announced that on January 14, 2010, the Company issued a total of 39,843 shares of restricted shares to three new employees. The Shares were granted as inducements to employment under the Company's Amended and Restated 2009 Inducement Award Plan in accordance with NASDAQ Marketplace Rule 5635. The Amended and Restated 2009 Inducement Award Plan contains terms similar to that of the Company's 2006 Equity Incentive Plan.

The fair value of shares granted was based on the average of the high and low price of Knight common stock on the business day immediately preceding the date of grant. The shares vest ratably over three years on each anniversary of the date of grant.
