Lockheed Martin delivers 75th APY-9 radar to US Navy

The E-2 (built by Northrop Grumman) is now considered the Navy's 'eyes of the fleet', thanks to its ability to monitor air, land and sea simultaneously, thanks to the technological capabilities of Lockheed Martin's APY-9 radar.
Lockheed Martin that the US Navy has funded 80 of the 86 aircraft in the current program. Japan has also bought 18 aircraft, while France has purchased three.
In view of demand, Lockheed estimates that production of the APY-9 radar should stretch into the late 2020s, with a modernization and maintenance program into the 2040s.
