Mariupol's'kyi MK im Illicha VAT : Metinvest-Shipping is the winner in two nominations of the National Maritime Rating of Ukraine

[Attachment]Metinvest Shipping, Metinvest's logistics business unit won two nominations of the 10th National Maritime Rating of Ukraine by the results of 2016.

58 award winners in 23 nominations representing different segments in marine sector of Ukraine were ranked.

The company won in the nomination Freight Forwarder of the Year for the record breaking quantity of cargo shipped through the ports and terminals of the country. Last year, the volume of cargo reached 26.4 million tonnes, which exceeds the total volume of transshipment of other top-five companies.

In addition, Metinvest-Shipping took the first place in Marine Agent nomination for the largest number of self-propelled ships serviced in the sea ports. Last year, the company serviced 772 vessels.

Metinvest-Shipping is the general freight forwarder of Metinvest Group, the largest shipper in Ukraine. As of the last year, the Group's cargo comprised 23% of total shipments in Ukrainian Railways and approximately 20% of port transshipments.

The National National Maritime Rating of Ukraine was initiated by the Ports of Ukraine journal and BlackSea Trans information and analytical centre. The annual rating is held under the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ukrport Association, Port Operators' Union, Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, Association of Marine Agents of Ukraine, and Black Sea International Shipowners Association (BINSA). The winners of in most nominations are determined by rating the performance of the market players.
