TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Masonite International Corp. (DOOR) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $26.9 million.

The Tampa, Florida-based company said it had profit of $1.08 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.26 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.20 per share.

The door maker for the housing industry posted revenue of $618.5 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $574.6 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $69 million, or $2.77 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.26 billion.

Masonite expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.40 to $8.30 per share.

Masonite shares have climbed 17% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $115.23, a rise of 32% in the last 12 months.
