PLT energia has acquired the 100% of FAS Srl, company that owns an operating wind farm of an installed capacity of 2,55 MW located in the municipality of Catanzaro, in an highly windy area in synergy with other plants held by PLT energia.
Milan, July 29th, 2015 - PLT energia SpA announces the acquisition of all shares of the company owner of a wind farm already in operation of 2,55 MW, located in the municipality of Catanzaro.
Pierluigi Tortora, PLT energia CEO: 'The purchase of this plant enables the Group to pursue its objectives of growth, with a view to an industrial and strategic rationalization of its asset, as it is located in an highly windy area where PLT energia is already locally present with operating wind farms and it will allow PLT engineering, company of the Group responsible of the management and maintenance of our plants, to further optimize the activities and the industrial syniergies'.
The operation, also supported by the funding provided by UBI Banca, allows the Group to reach an overall installed capacity of more than 115 MW and will lead to an increase of annual revenues of approximately 900 thousand Euro and of EBITDA of approximately 700 thousand Euro.
PLT Energia SpA is an Italy-based holding company active in the renewable energy sector. Along with its subsidiaries, it is engaged in the development, build and management of wind, photovoltaic, biomass and cogeneration power plants, as well as production and sales of electric energy. It operates over 10 photovoltaic parks, over 10 wind parks and two biogas plants, producing over 220 Gigawatt Hours (GWh) of clean energy per year.
