With an installed capacity of 10 MW, Torre di Ruggiero is able to generate more than around 23,4 GWh per year.

Milan, June 16th, 2015 - PLT energia SpA announces to have completed and connected Torre di Ruggiero (CZ) wind farm of 10 MW of installed capacity.

Pierluigi Tortora, PLT energia CEO, commented: 'Through the commissioning of this plant, toghether with other 3 plants of about 1 MW of installed capacity each, connected in the first quarter of 2015, the overall installed capacity of the Group now totals 113 MW. The growth of the Group is consolidated and the works under execution of Simeri Crichi wind farm of 33 MW, allow us to look with confidence at the aim of reaching an overall installed capacity of 146 MW within the first quarter of 2016'.
'The realisation of the wind farm in only six months - continues Pierluigi Tortora - has been possible thanks to the committment of our collaborators, suppliers and contractors, who, even during negative climatic conditions, worked with high professionalism and dedication. The reliability and competence of turbines supplier, Senvion, has also allowed the wind farm to come online within the deadline'.

The plant will be composed of 5 Senvion wind turbines, of 2 MW each and will produce electric energy for more than 23,4 GWh a year, satisfying the energetic demand of 10 thousand families and avoiding the atmospheric emission of more than 11 thousand tonnes of CO2 a year.

The overall investment has been equal to 17,9 million Euro and it is expected to bring additional yearly revenues of more than 2,4 million Euro, with an EBITDA increase of about 1,9 million Euro, following the commissioning at full speed of the plant.
