The supervisory board at PORR is being reorganized: Long-time supervisory board member Iris Ortner will succeed Karl Pistotnik as chairwoman from April 30, 2024, who will take on the role of deputy.

After PORR's dynamic start to 2024, a change in the executive committee of the supervisory board has now been decided: Iris Ortner has been the first woman to head the supervisory board of PORR AG since April 30, 2024. 'In addition to her industrial and business experience, Iris Ortner also brings extensive technical expertise. I look forward to further constructive cooperation,' says PORR CEO Karl-Heinz Strauss.

Iris Ortner has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2010 and is also Chairwoman of PORR's Sustainability Committee. Iris Ortner now also takes over the chairmanship of the nomination and compensation committees. As chairwoman of the supervisory board, she succeeds Karl Pistotnik, who in turn takes over the position of deputy from Klaus Ortner. Klaus Ortner has been a member of the supervisory board since 1998 and served there for a long time as chairman and deputy chairman. He will continue to support PORR as a supervisory board member with his many years of expertise.

Iris Ortner studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich and completed an MBA at the private business university Insead. In 2013, she took over the helm from her father Klaus Ortner as managing director at IGO Industries, the international association of technology companies. She is the fourth generation to run the family business.

The Ortner family is closely linked to PORR: As part of its syndicate with the Strauss Group, the IGO Industries Group has a stake in PORR and is therefore a major shareholder in PORR.
