POSCO INTERNATIONAL Fosters a Culture

of Communication and Creativity through Humanities Lectures

- Held a 'Humanities Playground' on the theme of employees' mental health on the 11th.

- Has invited various humanities experts to expand employees' perspectives since 2019

- Plans to evolve these lectures into a unique communication platform

POSCO INTERNATIONAL (Vice Chairman Jeong Tak) convened the 'Humanities Playground,' a platform for employees' creativity and communication, at the POSCO Center on the 11th.

The 'Humanities Playground' is POSCO INTERNATIONAL's unique humanities program that nurtures common understanding of humanities among employees through lectures delivered by diverse guest speakers, thus promoting diversity and creativity concurrently.

Since its launch in 2019, this program has conducted 17 lectures on a wide range of topics such as history, economics, performances, arts, psychology, and wine. Some of its popular lectures include photographer Yoon Kwang-Jun's 'Spaces I've Loved,' music critic Lim Jin-Mo's 'Popular Music and Society,' University of Seoul professor Lee Ik-Joo's 'Leadership of Jeong Do-Jeon,' and Western art commentator Kang Jeong-Mo's 'Travel Becoming Art.'

Dr. Shin Young-Chul, a clinical professor of psychiatry at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital (and advisor to the Corporate Mental Health Institute), was this year's Humanities Playground guest speaker. As mental health care and mindfulness have recently become prominent topics among many employees, he presented a lecture on 'Psychiatrist's Advice for Happy Workers,' which elicited significant response and interest from attendees.

Particularly considering those employees who could not attend in person, the company organized an online 'Humanities Playground on LAN' allowing all staff members to participate in shared humanities experiences together.

Earlier this year, POSCO INTERNATIONAL announced its transformation into an integrated business corporation following its merger with POSCO ENERGY. Along with this transformation, the company has been fostering a work culture where individuals can work more creatively across professional boundaries while fully realizing their capabilities.

As recognition of the importance of humanities has grown in recent years, the company anticipates the initiative such as the 'Humanities Playground' will assist employees in developing balanced perspectives embracing diversity while sparking their imagination towards realizing their visions.

A POSCO INTERNATIONAL official stated, "from now on, we will continue to plan humanities lectures covering diverse topics, such as culture and art, so that our 'Humanities Playground' can function as an effective communication platform where our employees from diverse age groups and cultures can share their thoughts actively among themselves."
