Jakarta, 11 June 2015 - On PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA)'s 58th anniversary on 21 February 2015, its hard work and dedication was rewarded and named Best Financial Performance in the banking category by Indonesia Living Legend Company. BCA was deemed successful in fulfilling its vision to the chosen banking partner for the Indonesian people, and has played a significant part in Indonesia's economy. The award ceremony was held at Sasono Mulyo Ballroom Le Meridien Hotel, Thursday (11/6).
"Surviving Indonesian banking industry for more than 58 years is not an easy task. Our nation has us face various challenges that required commitment, hard work, and dedication not only to survive but to thrive. We push for more innovation for our products and services for our customers and stakeholders, and we find that this is the key to BCA's excellent performance all this time, including to achieve this incredible award today," remarked BCA Corporate Secretary Inge Setiawati.
Warta Ekonomi Living Legend Companies Award is an award initiated by Warta Ekonomi magazine and aims to recognize companies who have successfully maintained excellent performance for more than 50 years, while continuing to grow and inspire others. Hopefully, the award will inspire countless other business actors to sustain their company's performance and face economic challenges head on.
This year, Warta Ekonomi research team conducted a survey on 130 companies established more than 50 years ago to find the best candidate for the award. There were 3 stages of adjudication for the award: screening of company's age, innovation, and financial performance analysis from 2013-2014.
The award is given to companies who have operated for more than 50 years, and have proven to be able to withstand various economic challenges. On the other hand, companies must be able to continue to innovate to develop and expand their companies in order to be dubbed a legend. The indicators used to classify the companies, include: living legend company, including excellent corporate history, product and service innovation to survive and thrive, as well as financial performance from 2013-2014. Based on the aforementioned criteria, BCA was awarded as winner of Best Financial Performance.
